The resort

Perched high at 1800m on a rocky promontory, Avoriaz is a gateway to the fabulous Portes du Soleil ski area, 650km of slopes between France and Switzerland, with snow for every level and ability, from softly rolling slopes to rugged pistes for the most adventurous. Fresh powder, pin trees covered of snow, half-pipes, possibilities are as varied as the landscape surrounding the resort: Geneva Lake, Dents du midi, Mont Blanc…

Due to its distinctive and futuristic design using traditional wood (red cedar), Avoriaz was recently awarded a prize by the Minister of Culture for being one of the great heritage achievements of the 20th century.


Ski straight from your doorstep!
  • Avoriaz is a pedestrian resort, as soon you as you arrive, forget your car in the parking and get to your residence with a sleigh.
  • No cars, no road to cross, streets are slopes and you can ski right to your door as all the residences are ski-in/ski-out.
